Infineon’s PSoC™ Edge devices are based on the high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M55, featuring Helium™ DSP support and equipped with Arm® Ethos™-U55. They also incorporate the Cortex®-M33 with Infineon’s ultra-low-power NNLite neural network accelerator. These devices support ‘always-on’ sensing and responsiveness, making them an ideal choice for advanced IoT applications such as smart homes, security systems, wearables and robotics.

The PSoC™ Edge features a multi-domain architecture that enables high performance and fine-grained power optimisation.
This architecture comprises:
A high-performance domain, utilising an Arm® Cortex®-M55 CPU, including a Helium™ DSP paired with an Ethos™-U55 neural processing unit.
A low-power domain utilising an Arm® Cortex®-M33 CPU, paired with Infineon’s NNLite processor, suitable for always-on edge AI applications.
