Mingjiada Supply Maxim MAX6717, MAX6719 And MAX6725 Microprocessor Supervisory Circuits
Shenzhen Mingjiada Electronics Co., Ltd. — Long-term supplier of Maxim (now part of ADI) MAX6715–MAX6729 series microprocessor monitoring circuits. This series of devices is designed to meet the power supply monitoring requirements of microprocessors, microcontrollers and embedded systems. They can be used for power-on reset, under-voltage detection, power supply fault protection and system status management, and are suitable for applications requiring power supply reliability, such as industrial control, communications equipment, portable electronics, consumer electronics and smart meters.
The MAX6715–MAX6729 are ultra-low-voltage µP monitoring circuits used to monitor two or three system power supplies. When the voltage of any monitored power supply falls below a factory-set or adjustable threshold, these devices trigger a system reset; the reset signal remains active for a minimum timeout period even after all power supply voltages have risen above the threshold. Compared with discrete ICs or components, these integrated dual- or triple-channel monitoring circuits significantly improve system stability and reduce system size.
The MAX6715–MAX6729 series of devices monitor a primary power supply (VCC1) ranging from 1.8 V to 5.0 V and a secondary power supply (VCC2) ranging from 0.9 V to 3.3 V, with factory-preset reset threshold options (see the ‘Reset Voltage Threshold Suffix Guide’ in the full data sheet). An externally adjustable RSTIN input allows the user to monitor a third power supply down to 0.62V. These devices ensure correct reset output logic whilst VCC1 or VCC2 remains above 0.8V.
Key Features:
VCC1 (main supply voltage) reset threshold: 1.58V to 4.63V
VCC2 (secondary supply voltage) reset threshold: 0.79 V to 3.08 V
Externally adjustable RSTIN threshold for auxiliary supply/third-supply monitoring (0.62 V internal reference)
Watchdog options
35 s (minimum) long start-up period
1.12 s (minimum) normal timeout period
Manual reset input options
Power failure input/output options (push-pull and open-drain, active-low)
Reset output is guaranteed to function correctly when VCC1 or VCC2 drops to 0.8V
Reset output logic options
Unaffected by VCC transients
Supply current as low as 14µA (typical) when powered by 3.6V
Compact 5-, 6- or 8-pin SOT23 package
