The ASL5015EVBMST evaluation board supports the ASL5015SHN matrix LED controller, which integrates 12 switches across four floating blocks, each capable of delivering up to 1.5A current output.

The on-board PWM controller features 12-bit resolution and automatic phase shift functionality, effectively mitigating peak current surges during switching transitions.

For more demanding lighting applications, NXP has also introduced the ASL61xxyHz series of enhanced matrix LED controllers. Supporting 16 LED channels, these controllers meet ASIL B safety ratings and satisfy automotive functional safety requirements.

The on-board battery terminal low-pass filter, comprising a 10kΩ resistor and 0.047µF capacitor, effectively filters out noise interference to enhance measurement accuracy.

The evaluation board further integrates a 64Kb I²C EEPROM for storing user-defined calibration parameters, enhancing system customisation capabilities.

For temperature sensing, the board provides a general-purpose I/O low-pass filter for NTC connection and temperature measurement, supporting battery temperature monitoring functionality.
