Product Description
The SMB465 is a dual-channel accelerometer designed for crash sensing in automotive airbag applications. This in-plane sensor features a measurement range of 25/35/50/70g selectable via g-range SPI command. The sensor provides acceleration data for evaluation by a microcontroller through its digital SPI interface that allows bidirectional data transmission.

  • SPI interface (16bit, 8MHz, global open SPI protocol)
  • On chip 1bit Σ/Δ-ADC
  • Sampling rate 7.8125 kHz
  • Full scale measurement range ±25/35/50/70g for both channels
  • Full self test capability with triggerable positive/negative test response
  • Fast/slow on-chip offset adjustment during power-on stage/operating mode
  • On-chip digital-lowpass-filter with corner frequency of 378Hz
  • Output independent of power supply voltage (non-ratiometric output)
